Surgery remains the treatment of choice for most skin cancers.
Normally it allows the complete removal of the tumour with the subsequent closure of the defect as cosmetic as possible in expert hands.
In some large tumours or locations, skin displacement called flaps or grafts may be required to close the defect.
In certain more aggressive tumours or in those with difficult locations we use Mohs surgery, where the removal of the tumour tissue is simultaneously analysed under a microscope.
